OCTOBER 8th-"I awoke to the sound of the baby monitor crackling with a voice comforting my firstborn child. As I adjusted to a new position, my arm brushed against my wife, sleeping next to me."

I awoke to the sound of the baby monitor crackling with a voice comforting my firstborn child. As I adjusted to a new position, my arm brushed against my wife, sleeping next to me. I knew it had been a bad idea to put the crib in grandma's old room. Since moving Charlie into it, I'd been waking up to baby monitor activity every night. To be fair though, grandma already took amazing care of her children and grandchildren in life. It's actually a blessing she came back to care for her great-grandchild in death. With that thought, I went back to sleep.

(Today was a special day! My mom's birthday!)
